Last Sunday the 2011 FIFA Women's World Cup kicked off in Germany. It is the fifth time that this competition has been played and every four years it grows more and more.
Let's be honest, this isn't the men's game. It's slower, not as physical, and the same depth is just not there. However, this should not excuse us from taking notice.
All the things that make sports great - high stakes, story lines, and drama, will all be present in Germany this summer. For these reasons and oh yes, the girls are in shorts too. Sexist ke? Tak sama sekali but hey, I'm a guy, a hot blooded guy lagi, so bear with me okay. Anyway, we should all indulge in the women's game for these upcoming four weeks. Cheers to the girls!
